Rylanne Martin Jervis is a pre-professional dancer and homeschooling High School Senior. They are an award winning dancer who has starred as Main Cast in over 20 dance theatre productions and member of the Pre-Professional JDG Youth Dance Company and apprentice member of JDG: The Migration Project, Huntington's only professional dance company. Rylanne leads an active life as a choreographer, actor, commissionable artist, assistant dance instructor, and 4th Avenue Arts dancer taking over 20 hours of classes/privates a week, all while successfully completing a self-driven homeschool curriculum. This past season they spent a week in New York City where they danced in Times Square, performed in the New Amsterdam Theatre on Broadway, and trained with The Rockettes at Radio City Music Hall, and earned a talent-based program acceptance and summer scholarship to James Madison University. They also work as an assistant during local summer dance intensives and help with the costumes/props/makeup behind the scenes of many local performances. Recently they have choreographed Alchemy's Little Women, are playing Lucius in Caesar for the WV Shakes Touring Company for Fall, and will dance with JDG: The Migration Project for the Huntington Museum of Art's outreach program. It is their goal to attend Ohio University in Athens, Ohio, as a Dance Major focused on Choreography to some day become a full-time artist and professional choreographer.
